Skiarea Hochkar

The skiing paradise and home of Katrin Zettel, Andreas Buder and Thomas Sykora

The largest district in the Lower Austrian Alps offering nearly a guarantee for snow welcomes everybody for wintersport. Daily perfect prepared pistes with various grades of difficulties, hump pistes, deep snow and neve are here for the beginner and the long loipe man.

Capacitiy

With a capacity of 14.000 persons per hour, lifts and cabel-cars take you from 1380m to a top height of 1800m. The total of the downhill runs make up 17.6 km.

Pistes

The terrain with well prepared pistes offers both snowboarders and skiers, beginners and pro-fessionals, the ultimate snow fun. The well-known security to snow in the Hochkar area has proved for long times, even though winters were mild and most locations were lacking of snow. Additionally sufficient snow-generating equipment is available to produce snow artifi-cially, if needed.

Snowboarding

The Hochkar is one of the most popular areas for snowboarding! Numerous deep snow slopes assure action and experience. The Hochkar is a paradise for freeriders and freestylers, who can build their pipes according to their specific needs. Nonetheless, boarders and cavers on Alpine-and racing boards or carving-skis, are offered perfect conditions in Hochkar. Prepared pistes allow a good mixture between pleasure and speed.
