Nordic Walking - training for the entire body

Nordic Walking is one of the grown new sport and it is for good reason because meanwhile it has been tested to be twice as effective as usual walking without sticks.

The additional movement of arms with the sticks engages the whole body muscle structure, what leads to a good work-out and tight of the shoulder muscles as well as the breast muscles and arms. At the same time, muscle pressures in the neck and the shoulder are relaxed. Al-though walking is performed at a low speed, it allows to train the aerobe fitness and the pulse frequency is raised together with the energy consumption.

Recent studies performed by the noted Cooper institute in Dallas, US revealed an increase of energy consumption and oxygen consumption of 20 percent on average. Additionally a 6 per-cent increase in heart frequency was measured.
